This 8-hour workshop aims to help older adults express their emotions in healthy ways by strengthening their emotional awareness and developing positive coping strategies to keep their emotions under control, improve one’s emotional health and contribute to successful ageing. Through this course, it hopes to empower participants in recognising, identifying, naming and understanding their negative and positive feelings and knowing the appropriate techniques to reframe, replace or control them.

Trainer's Profile
Ho Kum Koon
Since graduation from University of Singapore in 1972 Kum Koon has worked in the banking industry until his retirement in 2012. He subsequently pursued further studies in counseling and graduated with a Master degree in 2016. The training has equipped him to volunteer his time counseling incarcerated drug offenders and in counseling at a family service centre. He has also volunteer as a befriender to seniors in an eldercare centre and a nursing home. Kum Koon is serving as a volunteer trainer in Tsao Foundation.Reviews on Course
