This is a comprehensive course designed to train senior learners in the use of gerontechnology, and prepare them to become ambassadors for gerontechnology adoption among their peers. The course includes an introduction to gerontechnology, an understanding of intrinsic motivations for learning technology, hands-on technology training, facilitation skills for teaching other seniors, and strategies for overcoming fears and misconceptions about technology. The intention of the course is to empower older adults with the necessary skills and knowledge to effectively use gerontechnology to support aging and independent living, and to become advocates for gerontechnology adoption among their peers.
