Understanding the Ageing Process through Experiential Learning

This 3-hour experiential learning aims to equip one with the knowledge of how the ageing process impacts one's physical, emotional and mental well-being. Participants will learn ways to prepare for and cope with the ageing process, and how to maintain a healthy and active lifestyle through their golden years with the help of different sets of equipment for an ageing simulation experience and using ageing principles and processes.

Emily Ong
Emily is the Director and HOD of Eldercare (Active Ageing Centre). She is responsible for the strategic development of all Active Ageing Centres to drive and lead initiatives while ensuring operational efficiency. In her previous capacity as a Volunteer Manager, she oversaw all Volunteer Management, training efforts, and implemented policies within the department to enhance volunteering experiences. She holds a Master’s Degree in Gerontology (SUSS) and is ACTA/ACLP certified for Adult Teaching and Learning.Reviews on Course
