Achieve Brain Plasticity Through Dancing (Level 2)

The level 2 course revisits and expands on the ways to develop brain plasticity through more complex dance movements as well as teaches other dance options and set-up skills that can be applied to the home setting and teaching family members. Further developing the knowledge in key areas highlighted in Achieve brain plasticity through dancing (Level 1), participants will have learnt more basic cha cha and samba steps for self-dance, learnt a chair dance and how to customize a "seated" dance for someone with limited mobility, and gained enough knowledge to improve health of family and more.

Benedict Lau
Benedict Lau has over 20 years of experience in dance and fitness instruction. He created and taught two NSA programmes: Body Conscious Dance (15 hours, 28 runs, 350 seniors graduated) and Build Lower Body Strength with Workout and Dance (20 hours). An NTU Mechanical Engineering (Hons) graduate, Benedict is trained in Latin and Ballroom Dance (UK ISTD) and Geragogy Guidelines. He has taught at clubs, community centres, schools, and charity events. A top Latin/Ballroom competitor (1997-2007), he represented Malaysia in the SEA Games and Asian Games, ranking No. 1 in Malaysia DanceSport under the Olympic Council.
