About the Programme/Event
In Singapore, 1 in 10 people above the age of 60 suffers from dementia. And it is only going to become more prevalent.
Join us to learn:
- What is dementia?
- What are the signs and symptoms of dementia?
- What are the difficulties that Persons Living with Dementia (PLDs) may face?
- How to communicate with PLDs?
- How to cope with life with dementia?

About the Speakers
Janet Tan
Janet is a certified Spark of Life facilitator, a programme aimed at providing therapeutic group intervention for Persons Living with Dementia (PLD). With more than 8 years of experience working with PLDs and their caregivers, 2 years of case management with Cluster support and 20 plus years of volunteering experience. Janet is passionate about serving the needs of the elderly and helping them age in place through her work. She also works closely with caregivers on their caregiving journey.
Chan Chin Teck
Chin Teck is a Senior Programme Executive with Montfort Care’s GoodLife! Chin Teck works mainly with caregivers and those who might be at risk of mental health illnesses, advocating for mental health awareness amongst the seniors through screening and education.
