About the Programme


Depression is more common than we may think, but it often gets overlooked and mistaken as sadness. Most people think depression only occurs with a sudden traumatic experience, but that is not necessarily true – depression can take root gradually. In order to help yourself and your loved ones better navigate feelings of depression, a deeper understanding of it is needed.This talk will touch on the topic of depression in older adults, how to spot the signs of depression, and ways to support or render aid to persons with depression. There will also be a Q&A session at the end of the talk.
