Symptoms of OCD include


  • Fear of contamination or dirt.
  • Doubting and having difficulty tolerating uncertainty.
  • Needing things orderly and symmetrical.
  • Aggressive or horrific thoughts about losing control and harming yourself or others.
  • Unwanted thoughts, including aggression, or sexual or religious subjects.


Common compulsive behaviors in OCD include:


  • Excessive double-checking of things, such as locks, appliances, and switches.
  • Repeatedly checking in on loved ones to make sure they're safe.
  • Counting, tapping, repeating certain words, or doing other senseless things to reduce anxiety.

Choo Ting is a Senior Psychologist in the Department of Psychology at Sengkang General Hospital. She graduated with a Master of Clinical Psychology from Curtin University (Australia).


Choo Ting started her journey to become a Clinical Psychologist, with an intention of holding a safe space for individuals to share their unique stories, to walk alongside them as they make sense of their present challenges and their own existence.
