Become a master storyteller and captivate your audience.

Want to share your personal stories but don't know where to begin? Join us in a 3-part workshop to learn the art of personal narrative storytelling! The workshop will be conducted by storyteller Sangeeta Deshpande from Singapore Storyweavers, who will cover the components of storytelling with a focus on oral presentation, the significance of oral history, and personal narratives. Sangeeta will guide you through a process of reminiscence and help you discover and craft stories from your life experiences. Thereafter, you will learn how to present and share your stories through video recordings.

Participants are encouraged to bring along an item that is meaningful or has personal significance to them for the first session on 4 October 2022.

This programme is organised in collaboration with The Society for Reading and Literacy (SRL).

TOYL x Arts 101 is an introductory arts-based programme series for those aged 50 and above. Engage your senses and explore your potential for creativity through insightful talks and hands-on activities that introduce you to a myriad of art forms.
