Interested in Volunteering? – Mentoring Programme

Date: 1 Dec 2021 to 31 Jan 2022
What is the programme about?
RSVP Singapore’s Mentoring Programme is one of RSVP’s longest running programmes. Our senior volunteers serve as mentors to at-risk primary school children from low-income families. It is a 3-hour after-school programme held at the school premises.
How does the programme benefit the children?
As a mentor to the children, you will engage them through activities such as storytelling, arts and craft, and role-playing to impart moral values such as perseverance, responsibility and empathy.
Some of the primary schools we work with:
- Dazhong Primary School
- Marsiling Primary School
- Naval Base Primary School
- Paya Lebar Methodist Girls Primary School
Join us if you enjoy interacting with children and believe in building a child’s character by imparting values. Below are some of the prerequisites:
- You are assertive and firm when interacting with the students.
- You have the patience to help students understand concepts.
- You hold at least an ‘O’ level certificate.
- You can commit to at least one afternoon a week on weekdays for a minimum period of six months.
