We usually do not expect science and spirituality to intersect or coexist. Yet, Dr Tommy Wong, an engineering professor, proves this wrong with his deep spirituality and vast experience writing spiritual books.Dr Tommy Wong was previously an engineering professor at a university in Singapore. About 13 years ago, he left the university and transformed himself to become a spiritual author. In this session, Dr Wong will share his fascinating journey with anecdotes from two of his books, How an Engineering Professor Becomes a Spiritual Philosopher and How the Great Spirit Shaped My Life.
About the Author
As the author of the Spiritual Living book series and two autobiographies, Dr Tommy Wong provides insight into his spiritual journey in modern Singapore. He used to be an engineering professor but nowadays, he works mainly as a freelance consultant and trainer. Apart from authoring books, Dr Wong is also an editor, having been involved in writing and editing more than 25 books covering four different genres: engineering, philosophy, self-help, and spirituality.Since 2011, Dr Wong has been invited to discuss his books with the Heartlands Book Club on several occasions. Between 2012-2017, he was featured three times on A Slice of Life Hour, a programme by the radio station 938 Live. He has also given more than 40 talks at the Singapore Writers Festival, Read Fest, Human Library Singapore, Booktique bookstore, Financial Services Consumer Association, as well as various Meetup groups.For those who wish to participate but are unable to be present physically, you can register online and the Zoom link will be sent to you via email.

The Time Of Your Life (TOYL) programme series features informative talks, creative workshops, book clubs, and learning communities for those aged 50 and above. Seniors can expect to stay relevant with these programmes that cover a wide range of topics such as health, personal finance, technology, and the arts.

- Arrive 10 mins before the session commences. Seats of late attendees may be given to those in the waitlist.
