About the Programme

Like humans, plants require specific nutrients to grow well. This is especially important for edible plants that you grow at home, to ensure that what you are consuming is good for your body. As different plants may have different needs, join us to find out about the types of fertilisers that you can use to help your fruits and vegetables grow well at home.

About the speaker

Frankie has been gardening since 2011 and is an active community gardener in the North West CDC area, where he provides advice on plants and assists in setting up community gardens. He is knowledgeable in growing vegetables, herbs, spices, medicinal plants, and bonsai. Through hands-on sessions, he engages new gardeners and interest groups on gardening.

Frankie has also mentored students from Temasek Polytechnic and Nanyang Polytechnic in landscape design projects and shared best practices for the growing and maintenance of plants. To enhance his own knowledge, Frankie has organised overseas trips for NUSS members to visit organic farms, where they get to learn and understand new farming techniques.
