Singing Made Simple: The McClosky Voice Method

This is a series of 5 workshops which aims to free up the singing voice and enrich the tone, resonance, and stamina to ease vocal production. The McClosky Technique, a set of relaxation exercises and steps for improving postural alignment, will be introduced to help participants address different aspects of the singing voice and understand the true meaning of singing with freedom. A Certified McClosky Voice Technician will lead the interactive and practical sessions using excerpts from song repertoires.

Dr. Chia Wei Khuan
Dr. Chia Wei Khuan has served on the faculty of Visual and Performing Arts Academic Group, National Institute of Education, NTU, for over 30 years from 1987 to 2019, specializing in studio voice, vocal pedagogy, vocal health and music education. As a pedagogue, he is well equipped to address a wide range of vocal issues combining the McClosky Voice Method, the principles of Vocology, the Estill Voice Method and the Alexander Technique.
