Normala Mabap

Normala is a gerontologist with more than three decades of experience working at different levels of programme and policy development. Her work has also spanned the realms of knowledge development including research and training on ageing.  As an age care pioneer in Singapore she has built new care models, developed frameworks for care integration and rolled out competency roadmaps for the sector. She has worked with the National Council of Social Service, Ministry of Community Development, Youth and Sports, the Tsao Foundation, Temasek Polytechnic and Duke NUS Medical School. These days she mostly focusses her energy on upskilling the age care professionals and initiatives that empowers seniors. She holds a Masters in Public Administration and was a Fulbright Scholar at the Maxwell School in the US.
