The MBCT 8-week course combines cognitive therapy with mindfulness meditative practices. Developed by Zindel Segal, Mark Williams and John Teasdale, based on Jon Kabat-Zinn's MBSR program, MBCT can alleviate chronic unhappiness/depressive activity and to reduce cravings for addictive substances.

Angie Chew is Principal Mindfulness Trainer of Brahm Centre, a qualified Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction trainer (University of Massachusetts Medical School) and a certified Dot-B and Paws-B mindfulness trainer (Mindfulness in Schools Project, UK).  She is also an Adj. A/Prof at NUS.
