This 1-day training aims to equip participants with the skills to become a medical escort to accompany elderly in need of assistance, and to bring them for their medical appointments and check-ups. At the end of the course, participants will be able to perform their role as a medical escort and be equipped with knowledge and skills to handle infection control, wheelchair and other mobility aids; manage difficult situations and emergencies; and communicate with the elderly.

Susie Loh is a state registered nurse since 1970. She dedicated her life as a nurse practitioner and had held various positions in public healthcare institutions from staff nurse, nurse educator to director of nursing for more than 40 years. Her professional qualification includes Certificate in Pedagogy, Gerontology Nursing and Postnatal Home Care. She is currently a locum nurse and delivers training of eldercare programmes.
Alice Goh has over 40 years of experience in the healthcare sector, from nursing officer to Assistant Director of Nursing at TTSH, IMH and Peacehaven Nursing Home. She lectured part-time for nursing degree course with Sunderland University from 2008 to 2012 and currently works as adjunct trainer for caregiving programmes. He holds a Master degree in Health Science Management and Bachelor of Health Science Nursing from SIM/Sydney University.
Sandra Foo has over 10 years of training and facilitation experience specialising in elder-caregiving and befriending programmes. She conducts public health talks, develops elder caregiving training material and trains caregivers and befrienders. She is a state registered nurse, ACTA certified and holds a bachelor degree in Social Science (NUS).
Lo Chue Har
Lo Chue Har has been a nurse since 1991 at SGH, TTSH, NKF. She has used her experience to impart her skills and knowledge as a nursing lecturer at ITE from 2000 to 2005, before moving on to Peacehaven Nursing Home. Chue Har is a state registered nurse and has over 10 years of teaching experience. She holds a Diploma in Adult and Continuing Education (DACE) and Bachelor of Nursing in Griffith University.
