Handyman: Basic Electronic Repair

In this 7-hour course, participants will learn to identify electronic components, test their integrity, purchase these components and replace them. This is a basic course into the workings of various types of electronic components used in common electronics found in household appliances and devices. This course prepares the participants to pick up more focused repairs in our future higher-level courses.

Trainer's Profile

John Chan

John Chan has been an independent contractor dealing with IT networks, general contract work and coaching at various community centers and community spaces. He later joined Repair Kopitiam to continue spreading the repair culture. He has formulated many parts of the handyman course syllabus and even made the training aids for the course.

Edmund Ho

Edmund Ho has been an electronic engineer for more than 30 years. Currently, Edmund teaches at MOE schools as a freelance trainer for robotics, coding and digital fabrication. Edmund has been a long time supporter and coach with Repair Kopitiam.
