Digital Photography course (Basic)

This course is conducted in English. The course will touch on basic techniques, functions and technical terms in camera photography. Topics include understanding shutter speed, focal length, ISO, white balance, colour temperature of digital cameras, types of lenses (zoom, prime, telelens, macro lens, wide angle etc.) and the maintenance of one’s camera and lens. By the end of the course, participants will be able to master the knowledge of various tool functions and lenses of digital cameras and choose the subject they like to shoot (such as landscape, insects, still life, food, flowers, etc.) to share the results and joy in their circle of friends or media.

Lau Eng Seng
Mr Lau is a photographer and artist graduated with Bachelor of Fine Arts at the Nanyang Technology University. Much of his work concentrate on the contemporaneity with interest in anthropology, sociology and identity, driven by research-based methodologies. His art practice is presented through various forms. He held exhibitions locally and internationally. He has been awarded the NTU ADM Sustainability Award (Gold) and was short listed for the NTU Global Digital Art Prize 2019.
