This course introduces the basics of typography and layout designs required in graphic communication work. Participants will be taught techniques of arranging typographic styles and gain insights into text functions, enhance clarity and produce successful visual and design communication. Participants will explore the art of typography by focusing on the character of letters and learn the skills required to design a good page layout while carrying out their projects.

Peh Mei Lian
Peh Mei Lian has a wealth of knowledge and expertise in design, having worked commercially as a graphic designer and an illustrator for greeting cards for many years. She was commissioned in 1994 by SAFTI Military Corporation (Singapore) to design two series of banners for the new SAFTI army barracks in Jurong, Singapore. She is also the recipient of the Best Illustration Major Folio Award in the 1995 Degree Show.Matthew Ng
Matthew holds a Bachelor of Arts (Multimedia) and is a passionate practitioner in the field of digital creative and marketing. He has spent over two decades helping multinational companies and local enterprises across various industries gain a strong market presence in a competitive business world. He has been imparting his real-world skills and experience in various educational institutions for the past 14 years, preparing the next generation and current workforce to meet the demands and challenges of the digital economy.
