Piano Skills (Level 1)

Enjoy being able to play simple piano pieces. This course allows the learner to pick up a simple sheet of music, and begin playing it. The course will teach participants essential piano skills and demonstrate them through a baseline piano demonstration. Participants will then do a mid-course performance and be provided analysis from industry experts before doing a final performance.

Jane Foo is a musician, piano accompanist and educator. She has played for musical productions such as Into The Woods (Pangdemonium) and The LKY Musical (SRT), and also enjoys collaborative improvisation of songs and scenes. She has taught music at Lasalle College of the Arts, School of the Arts and privately. With her athletic and yoga training, she prioritises connection to the body and sustainable piano-playing technique.
