Nagomi pastel art is a form of art therapy from Japan. This is a very tactile art form which uses the fingers and pastel pigment powder (from crayon sticks) to create art pieces with a process that reinforces muscle memory, boost morale and inspire positivity. Participants can thus use Nagomi Pastel Art to help one relax and de-stress. positivity and what they have learnt with their elderly family members or grandchildren. It is also an excellent activity for volunteers to share at nursing homes with dementia patients.

Pearl Tang has great passion in art and craft creations and its activities. She is a Certified Facilitator & Trainer by WDA-ACTA. She is a certified trainer for Japanese Nagomi Pastel Art and Zentangle. Pearl has over 15 years of experience in training and education institutions. She believes and encourage seniors to adopt active ageing mindset.
