This intensive and interactive workshop aims to provide an introduction to some of the most fundamental issues of ageing and caregiving in the ageing process and practical skills and hands-on practice on caring for the elderly e.g. safe use of mobility aids, safe transfer and positioning, and communication skills. This course hopes to empower caregivers with the knowledge and understanding of some of the most fundamental issues of ageing and eldercare, as well as practical skills needed in caring for older persons, such as the secure use of mobility aids, safe transfer and positioning etc.

Rita Bay

 Rita has professional certifications in counselling as well as competency training & assessments (ACTA). She is an active volunteer in the community with Tsao Foundation as a Trainer, a Health Ambassador with HPB since its inception & an active member in her Church. Courses conducted for Tsao, C3A, NEA includes Scope, Living well Aging well, staying well, Staying Balance, Staying Cool etc She has a Master of Counselling accredited & awarded by Swinburne University; Melbourne organised by the Executive Counselling & Training Academy (ECTA) in Academic partnership with Mount Elizabeth Hospital & Parkway College of Nursing & Allied Health

Veronne Tan

 Veronne, a retired senior, and now enjoying works as a yoga instructor specially organizing chair yoga courses for Elderly, Veronne is also volunteering as an adult educator to the ComSA Learning Room of the Tsao Foundation; she is also a para-counsellor with Tsao Foundation. By using her positive energy, Veronne hopes to improve the lives of all elderly people she meets, allowing them to live rich and fulfilling lives as seniors。
