Participants will be taught about the essence of Travel Photography to capture images during a travel journey, tell a story, and express a sense of place. By the end of the course, you will understand what it means to have a “right” moment, eyes of contrast on subjects and framing of shots. Using these skills, you will be able to shoot human subjects and structures.

Yeaw Choon Wee
Yeaw Choon Wee’s passion for photography began in 2008. In 2014, he was conferred Artist of International Federation of Photographic Art (FIAP) under UNESCO. In 2019, he received the Distinction title of Fellowship (FPSS) as a recognition for the highest level of photographic skills. He specializes in portraying humanity and culture in its environment, framing a picture with light and shadow. He has won numerous awards such as Asian Geographic Photographer of the Year, Singapore International Photography Award and others.

An eye opening to travel photography. It gives us a different perspective to create the story from every image we take. Trainer Choon Wee is experienced and patience to guide us along. Highly recommend for all to advance their skill to the next level.

The course instructor, Choon Wee is excellent. He is very willing to share his knowledge and experience with the class. But the comment I have is that it seems to be too rushed. Will be good that it be a 8 sessions instead with 2 outdoor photo shoots on the 5th and 7th session. Though there is a pre-requisite that attendees need to have basic knowledge, but I do feel that abt half the class still has trouble following the pace and still struggle with the basic settings on the exposure triangle. A 2nd outdoor will be great as we could use lesson 6 to review and discuss the results of our outdoor shoot and be given more comments and correction tips before another outdoor session on the 7th to see the improvements we make between the 2 shoots and have the opportunity to get the appraisal from Choon Wee on the 8th lesson. Nonetheless, it is a good course for me even though I have previously attended a 16-week Certificate in Photography Course with NAFA.
