Acting Skills (Level 1)
Learners acquire basic acting skills (Speech, Facial Expression, Movement) that can be applied to participation in a simple play. Acting supports mind and body agility. The course will teach participants essential acting and performance skills and demonstrate through a baseline acting demonstration. Participants will then do a mid-course performance and be provided analysis from industry experts before doing a final performance.

Eleanor Tan
Eleanor is an actor, director, playwright, trainer, facilitator and coach. She is a veteran educator with an MA in Arts Practice and Pedagogy and possesses more than 20 years of teaching and training experience. Eleanor began her theatre career in 2003 and has performed in numerous plays and musicals by leading theatre companies. Eleanor’s directing credits include contemporary operas Purgatory and Speed Dating Tonight! by L’arietta Productions, Stella Kon's Peter & Pierre for Musical Theatre Limited. Eleanor's first full-length play, The Book of Mothers, was staged as part of Theatreworks’ N.O.W. Festival. Her play, Baby Bird, was presented at the Playwrights' Cove staged readings by The Necessary StageReviews on Course
