This course equips participants with the skills of Chinese seal engraving, a distinct Chinese art form. Participants will acquire skills in seal engravement, working towards the design and creation of their own name seals. Using stone seals and traditional seal script, they will engrave seals with engraving methods and design a pictorial animal seal. Skills learnt can be applied to professionally enhance learners’ personal artwork such as Chinese Calligraphy or Chinese Ink painting.

Sonas Lim
Sonas Lim is a distinguished alumnus of NAFA and a local Arts Practitioner specialising in Chinese Art. He studied Chinese calligraphy, Chinese painting and Chinese seal engraving under the tutelage of renowned local multi-disciplinary artist, Mr Wee Beng Chong. Sonas has been a recipient of numerous awards on seal engraving and Chinese calligraphy.
