About the Programme/Event

Read together with The Heartlands Book Club, a dedicated club for book-lovers! This month, we share Yohanna Abdullah’s book, Islands of Mania, which centres around mental issues and how these could be devastating to the lives concerned. And yet, we can still find inspiration in the journey of healing. About the Book: Islands of Mania is an insightful account into the highs and lows of bipolar disorder.  Though the characters are fictional, they are inspired by the author’s personal journey of marital issues, relationships betrayal and the painful steps of forgetting the past and moving forward to a life of faith, gratitude and contentment.
