Trainer's Profile

Tan Cheen Chong

Tan Cheen Chong is a qualified Mind Based Stress Reduction teacher with the University of Massachusetts Medical School's Center for Mindfulness. As the pioneer group of US-based Mindful Schools-certified teachers, he has been training groups of students, teachers, caregivers, doctors, and professionals since 2014. 

Sim Shiang Hann Andy

Sim Shiang Hann Andy is a psychotherapist & counsellor with a Masters degree in Counselling and Guidance from Nanyang Technological University (Singapore) in 2019. He provides individual and group therapy sessions to assist and guide clients to gain insights and awareness of their issues.

Jess Chen

Jess Chen has more than 20 years of experience in making miniature clay art. It is a skill honed by passion and a talent in capturing the essence of the object to be miniaturised. Jess has been conducting miniature food clay workshops at WINGS since 2018. The extremely lifelike miniature food displays created by workshop participants bear testimony to Jess’ inspiring teaching style.

Balan Gopal

Balan Gopal is the social entrepreneur behind the Herb in a Cup initiative. The online business sells eco-friendly products that he has created or produced. Balan is passionate about growing his food. In a 2015 interview with The Straits Times, he shared he wants to “show people that it is possible to grow your food in built-up areas like HDB flats". He also set up Furama Hotel’s Eco Garden.

Ajuntha Anwari

Ajuntha Anwari is the founder of Medicine Woman Asia whose mission is to empower women through wellbeing education and leadership. A trainer in the art of plant medicines and phyto-nutrition, Ajuntha incorporates them in the food we eat for the management of our health. Ajuntha who is ACTA certified also has a Diploma in Horticulture from School of Horticulture, Singapore Botanic Gardens and a Specialist Diploma in Health Promotion from Nanyang Polytechnic.

Chow Lai Oi

Lai Oi has been volunteering and facilitated WINGS programmes such as HealthAct and WAGSLite since 2014. She has a BSc 1st class honours in Construction Mgmt, RMIT University, Australia.

Gloria Tam Mee Yean

Gloria Tam is a certified image consultant under Association of Image Consultants International. She is currently a part-time lecturer at Ngee Ann Polytechnic and Singapore Institute of Technology, teaching academic and business writing. She is also a corporate trainer in communication and business etiquette with organisations including the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation.
