Digital Wellbeing: Using Digital Technology Well
With the pervasiveness of digital technology in our everyday life, it has at times become the “Best Friend” that has taken control over our lives. Often, we hear of problems with addiction to the Internet, the inability to “switch off” and relax, a growing susceptibility to scams, rumours and fear-mongering – all of which may have a negative impact on the mental wellbeing of seniors. This course will help participants learn to use digital technology safely. This includes managing its use so that it does not impact their mental health and wellbeing negatively. Participants will also learn to tap on its power of communication to maintain close ties with family and friends and keep self- isolation at bay.
