CAD – Create Parts & Draw Assemblies using SolidWorks

This course provides participants with the knowledge of using Solidworks CAD software to create parts drawing for mechanical components. By the end of the course, participants will be able to explain the basics of SolidWorks and the User Interface. Participants will also gain the skill of creating and sketching to create the drawing templates and views required to create the parts and start assembly.

Trainer's Profile

Tan Keng Huat

Mr. Tan graduated with a Master of Science in Mechatronics NUS and has been lecturing in ITE for than 20 years with wide experiences in CAD modelling like Solidworks, Inventor, Revit, Microstation, AutoDesk and most cloud base tool like OnShape. Besides providing machine building and design consultation, he lectured in the Building industry using BIM tools for 4 years.

Lim Wenbin

Lim Wenbin is a Certified Solidworks Associate and currently working as a Lecturer - Technology Development Engineer in ITE College East. He graduated with a PhD in Mechanical Engineering and has more than 5 years of experience in mechatronics, robotics and control.

Sam Chew Liang

Mr. Sam graduated with a Master of Science in Embedded System in NTU and worked as an Embedded System design manager in Renesas for 9 years and become a technology development engineer in ITE college East in charge of developing cross platform projects where in-depth CAD modelling and programming skills are required. He has a wide experience in AutoDesk, Microstation, Solidworks, Altium, Android and many cloud based mechanical and electronic design tools.
