Bookmark the course so that you will receive notification(s) if there are new runs for this course.

Being in nature is known to provide numerous physical, mental, and emotional benefits for people of all ages, but it is especially beneficial for seniors in our community. Join the students of Anderson Secondary School as they take you around their school’s very own garden which have a variety of vegetables and herbs (e.g. blue peas, lime, aloe vera). They also have a small hydroponics set-up in one part of the garden. Take a gentle, informative walk with the young as they help you navigate the ins and outs of flora and fauna. At the end of the course, you will get to take home some valuable and educational knowledge on various types of plants and how you can cultivate your own gardening! As a bonus, you will also join the students in a pot-painting activity, get to flex your creative muscles and bring home your very own piece of art to pot your plants in!
