Musical Canvas: Crafting Your Own Tunes Using Digital Audio Workstation (DAW)

This course is about learning the basics of making music on a computer or a DAW (Digital Audio Workstation). It will identify the key elements for an individual to be comfortable in this world of music creation. It will run for 4 weeks, with attendance twice a week for 2 hours at a time. This is flexible based on further discussions, however at least 16 hours is recommended. There will be homework to supplement the learning, as well as some classes online. Equipment required will be a laptop, headphones and a midi controller.

Rashid Ibrahim is a passionate audio and visual artist who owns a music production studio, creating band tracks, film scores, and jingles while teaching music production to seniors. He holds an MBA from NUS and a BA from Tufts University, along with accolades from Berklee School of Music and Audio Masterclass UK. With experience in regional managerial roles at MNCs, he combines these fields to create his music course program, Sound Heuristics.
