Drama activities can be used to establish relationships, develop group cohesion, develop skills, and as a springboard to activities.
This course is a practical dive into the act of facilitation of drama activities for non-performative intentions and objectives.
Participants will reflect on principles of improvisation in facilitation, enhance their facilitator’s presence and body language, and build a reflexive practice.
It is designed for those new to the field, as well as those who have some experience and want to become a better drama facilitator.

Michael Cheng
Michael Cheng is an applied drama practitioner and educator with extensive experience in facilitating workshops and socially engaged arts projects. He has worked with vulnerable communities, including people with disabilities and seniors, using applied arts to foster connection, well-being, and creative expression. He has taught applied drama in Singapore and internationally, training educators, artists, and community practitioners. Michael has collaborated with organizations like Lions Befrienders and TOUCH Community Services, securing grants for impactful arts initiatives. He holds a Master’s in Arts Pedagogy and Practice from Goldsmiths, University of London, supported by the National Arts Council’s Arts Scholarship.
