Ingredients
Oat Bars
- Captain® Classic Rolled Oats, 200g
- 100% peanut butter, 70g
- Pumpkin seeds, 30g
- Chia seeds, 1 tbsp
- Applesauce, 350g
- Apples, peeled, cored and sliced, 3
- Water, 125ml
- Lemon juice, 1 tbsp
- Cinnamon, 3-inch,1 stick
Method
Applesauce
- Boil sliced apples, water, lemon juice and cinnamon stick over high heat before reducing to low heat.
- Cover and simmer for 30 minutes.
- Puree using a blender or food processor.
Oat bars
- Preheat oven to 180°C.
- Spread oats, chopped almonds, chia seeds and pumpkin seeds onto a lined baking tray and lightly toast them in the oven for 5 mins.
- Mix the cooled ingredients with peanut butter and applesauce.
- Spread oat mixture evenly onto a lined baking tray.
- Bake at 180°C for 30 minutes.
- Once baked, let cool before cutting into 15 bars.
