Objectives
The 4th ICIP Conference 2010 aims to raise awareness and deepen understanding of intergenerational issues as well as create a platform for key stakeholders to learn from international best practices, so as to tighten social compact and unleash the social wealth amidst global economic downturn to build individual and community capacity and capability.

As an international multi-disciplinary organisation, the International Consortium for Intergenerational Programmes (ICIP) focuses on promoting intergenerational strategies and public policies from a global perspective. For the 4th ICIP Conference 2010, ICIP has partnered Council for Third Age (C3A) and the National University of Singapore (NUS) to bring the conference to Singapore.

Council for Third Age (C3A) believes that seniors are able to remain as active contributors to society with their wealth of knowledge, and at the same time, proactively accumulate new experiences by learning from the young. It is, therefore, pertinent that opportunities for forging such mutually beneficial interactions are formed, and that individuals as well as organisations adopt a similar perspective.

The Health Research Cluster at the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences in the National University of Singapore (NUS) is keen on projects relating to well-being across the life course. It sees intergenerational engagement as pertinent to the overall well-being of all in the society.

Post-Conference Workshops will be available for hands-on learning from experts with rich experience in conceptualising and running intergenerational programmes. Look out for registration for these half-day workshops!
