Grannies and grandaunts are equipped with Guiding knowledge and deployed as course testers and organisers of Guiding activities. Trained seniors will also serve as mentors to latchkey children of single-parent families.

People's Association S-Connect Scheme
Senior Outreach Programme
There are many seniors who are living alone or who could be feeling lonely in the community. Though ambulant, they can be inactive due to various reasons. Grassroots volunteers could reach out and befriend this group of seniors and encourage them to participate in community activities.

Team Seniors Programme
GROs or group of seniors are encouraged to organise meaningful and innovative programmes that capitalise on their skills and talents, involve community partners; and create positive outcomes for fellow seniors in the community.

Sports and Enrichment Programme
One of the best ways to counter the effects of a rapidly ageing population is to encourage seniors to remain active both physically through regular exercises, and mentally through engaging in intellectually-stimulating sports activities and enrichment programmes.

The Singapore Scout Association Developing Seniors as Resources for Community Scouting
Senior volunteers go through basic training courses to be equipped with Scouting knowledge and skills. They will then volunteer with Cub Scouts or the Scouts district teams; assist in organising Scouting activities and small-scale community projects (eg campfires with the CDCs); or facilitate as testers for the Proficiency Badges.

The Voice Productions aims to develop 3 new drama/theatre productions with a senior-focus theme or message. This project will also help to provide seniors with more choices through different theatre roles and job offerings in the production shows. Guided Autobiography with Older Persons (GAB) Phase 2
The GAB programme serves as a tool to enhance psychological and social functioning and quality of life of the older persons. Small groups of seniors will meet on a regular basis to reflect, discuss and write about their lives along various themes such as marriage and historical events with the support of trained facilitators.

Viriya Community Services Learn My Dialect (Phase 2)
To break down language barriers and increase interaction among the dialect-speaking seniors and the younger generation, seniors who are bilingual in English/Mandarin and dialects are recruited as volunteers to conduct basic dialect training in schools, institutions and social service providers who work with the elderly and the general public.

Vitage Fitness Project Fit-Band
This programme aims to encourage active ageing by introducing a systematic and structured strength training routine using the resistance bands in a pre-choreographed exercise routine. Senior volunteers will also be trained to teach their peers from various vocations on how to use the fit bands.

Xin Ying Wushu Training Centre Hun Yuan Tai Chi Baton Course
A new introductory course designed to initiate the seniors into the mainstream Hun Yuan Tai Chi training. The course, which comprises of 10 sessions, will cover all the ground needed for the beginners to equip themselves with the psychomotor coordination, muscular strength as well as Hun Yuan Tai Chi knowledge.
