Golden Opportunities! (GO!) Fund
Over the next two decades, Singapore’s population will age rapidly. While the ageing population may present challenges, it also heralds a whole host of opportunities for our society. We recognise that seniors represent a pool of valuable resources for the family and community. With their vast experience and talents, seniors would be able to contribute back to society in meaningful ways if they are empowered and given the opportunities to do so.
The Golden Opportunities! (GO!) Fund will empower you to bring these ideas to fruition. Through the GO! Fund, we want more community-level initiatives that create more opportunities for seniors to remain active, for example, through activities that promote senior volunteerism, healthy living, lifelong learning, intergenerational bonding or the development of active lifestyles and social networks.
The GO! Fund aims to enable the achievement of the following objectives:
- Enable active seniors to develop programmes/activities for themselves and other seniors;
- Nurture a vibrant seniors’ voluntary sector which is able to develop and deliver interesting activities and programmes for seniors; and
- Develop the silver industry in Singapore to provide seniors with a wide range of products and services
Besides financial support, other types of support that C3A can give to organisations that share our passion in creating an active ageing culture in Singapore are:
- Expertise and Knowledge Support:
C3A can provide the expertise and knowledge to help organisations identify and develop programmes/ events that promote active ageing;
- Endorsement Support:
C3A can endorse programmes/ events that are aligned with our objectives by allowing organisations to reproduce our logo on related publicity materials, and/or helping organisations with the publicity of these programmes/ events through our own publicity channels;
- Link-up and Referral Support:
C3A can recommend appropriate partner agencies whom the organisation can link up and collaborate with
